7-Day Ruaha, Mikumi & Nyerere Safari

Meet your guide and depart Dar es Salaam for Nyerere National Park. Travel through changing landscapes, arrive at your accommodation and settle in. If timing and local arrangements permit, enjoy a short introductory activity or relaxed evening at the lodge.

Explore Nyerere on a full-day game drive through woodland, open areas and wildlife corridors. Search for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, lions and plains game, with time for photography and a picnic or lodge lunch.

Leave Nyerere and travel toward Mikumi National Park. This is primarily a transfer day across southern Tanzania, with comfort stops along the route before arrival and check-in near or inside Mikumi.

Spend the day exploring the Mkata Plains and surrounding habitats. Look for elephants, giraffes, zebra, buffalo, antelopes, lions and birdlife while enjoying Mikumi's open landscapes.

After breakfast, begin the journey toward Ruaha National Park. Arrive in the Ruaha area, check into your lodge or camp and prepare for the final wildlife-focused part of the itinerary.

Enjoy a full day inside Ruaha, exploring river habitats, open plains and baobab woodland. Your guide will focus on productive wildlife areas and allow time for photography and observation.

Start with a final morning wildlife drive where the schedule permits, then leave Ruaha for Iringa or continue according to your confirmed onward transfer plan. The 7-day safari ends after drop-off or connection assistance.
